What is

It’s an online research community of 10,000 people who spend their time working, shopping and playing in towns and cities across Great Britain. We’ll ask for your thoughts on loads of topics, from fast food to mobile phones, and in return we give you the chance to win some fab prizes!

What’s the ‘online research panel’ bit about?

Our members give us their thoughts on a whole range of topics through regular online surveys, discussion forums and video tasks.

Don’t be fooled by the humble sounding title… by joining this lot you have the power to make a real difference to the way big brands speak to you. We carefully aggregate and anonymise your responses before we share them with any companies, letting them know what you’re thinking – be it good, bad or ugly.

When we receive your videos we turn them into a collection of show-reels we can present to big brands and companies to support your responses, as we think it adds more energy to a presentation! We won’t share any other details about you other than those you speak of.

So, what do you want from me exactly?

We want you to talk to us. Seriously… really go for it. We want to hear all of your ideas, opinions, reactions and feedback on a whole range of stuff through our regular surveys.

To get started, you’ll need to take a minute to set up a profile and answer a few questions so we can get to know you a little better. Don’t panic – we’re not digging for secrets… it’s more so we can gauge which surveys to invite you to.

After that you’ll be sent roughly three surveys a month covering all kinds of things. Newspapers, holidays, coffee, bus travel, beards… you name it, we’ve probably got a few questions we want to ask about it.

While you’ll never know exactly what to expect, you can be sure that you’ll be dealing with a whole host of subjects that we hope you’ll find interesting, engaging and maybe even a bit thought-provoking.

Why do you want to know all of this?

That’s a good question. is the younger sibling of a company called Exterion Media. We’re a leading out of home media owner – meaning that we offer a platform to brands to reach you - the audience - as you’re out working, shopping and playing.

As you’re such a busy bunch, it’s important for both you and the brands we work with, that we find the most effective way of promoting messages that actually matter to you. That’s why we’re always looking to understand the way you go about your day – so we know what to say, how to say it… and where.

What do you do with survey results?

From fashion and beauty through to technology, we want to stay ahead of the trend. We provide big brands with valuable insights about their market and you -their customers. So make sure to tell us what you like and don’t like so we can make a difference together.

Will you pass on my data to other companies?

Hell. No. We wouldn’t do that to you – it’s just not cool, is it? All the information you provide is strictly confidential and privacy is guaranteed. Even when we share results from surveys, you’ll stay completely anonymous. For more info on our privacy policy, click here.

What do I get in return?

Participate in our surveys and you get the chance to win prizes. And everyone loves free stuff, right?

From big prizes like iPads, laptops, and days out, to smaller treats like theatre tickets, shopping vouchers and our very own exclusive freebies; there’s a whole Generation Game-style conveyor belt of goodies just waiting to be snapped up. No cuddly toy though. Well, not yet anyway.

Once you’ve finished filling out a survey you’ll be entered into that survey’s prize draw – so the more surveys you do, the more chance you have of winning! We also offer exclusive draws for our most active members and those who take part in special projects; which you can read all about in our terms and conditions.

As well as putting up prizes in exchange for your time, you’ll also find the odd offer or discount for products and services that may interest you on our community portal or in one of our newsletters. You don’t have to do anything for those – it’s simply a perk of being part of Hey, that’s just how we roll.

How many surveys do I have to complete?

That’s totally up to you. We know you’ve got a lot on, being the busy urbanites you are, which is why you can choose to do as much or as little as you like. But do remember – if you want to get your hands on any of our dazzling prizes, you’ve got to be in it to win it. Just sayin’…

How long will surveys be open for?

It varies – sometimes we’re just after a quick response in a few hours, while other surveys need a little more TLC. We will always send you an email invitation to let you know whether you’ve got something like 72 hours or a whole glorious week.

How do I complete a survey?

A pretty important question… We want to make the whole process easy and hassle-free for you – so we’ll email you a unique URL to direct you straight to the survey. Let the question-answering bonanza commence…

How can I be sure you got my responses?

If you want to double check, just click on the survey link in your email and it’ll let you know if you’ve already submitted your answers. Technology, eh?

Is it just surveys?

Nope. It’s fine if you don’t want to but if you’re interested, there may be the occasional research project you can get involved with. It could be anything from an online discussion forum to a special video task, or even a real-life focus group – we’ll get in touch if anything comes up.

What does it mean to be a champion?

We want to give more rewards to our long-standing members on the community, as we value your commitment and your opinions! To become a champion, you’ll need to:

1. Have been a member of the community for over a year
2. Have completed at least 6 surveys in the past 6 months

We select our champions every month. As soon as you hit the mark, we’ll instantly enter you into a special prize draw.

What if I forget my password?

That’s okay. We all have our moments. To retrieve your password, simply click on the ‘Forgot Password’ button on the panel login page. Still having problems? Click on the ‘Technical Support’ link in the bottom left hand corner of the page.

How do I cancel my membership if I want to leave?

Even though the mere thought of you going breaks our heart, we’d understand and hope we can still be friends.

If you want to leave at any point, just click on the unsubscribe link found in our emails, and confirm that you want to unsubscribe your email address from the community.

What if I’m having technical problems?

We have a bunch of techies on standby to battle any gremlin that may come your way. Just click on the ‘Technical Support’ link in the bottom left hand corner of the panel login page and you’ll be able to view Technical FAQs and contact the team.
